So I got to thinking

about Pokemon, and what type I like best.  No clue why, just started wandering.  And what my team would look like if all my Pokemon shared that one type.  Well that one type is Ghost type, so here's what I think my team would look like (moves and abilities included) 

Gengar (Levitate):  Shadow Ball, Sludge Bomb, Dazzling Gleam, Focus Blast
Chandelure (Flame Body):  Flamethrower, Dark Pulse, Energy Ball, Shadow Ball
Trevanant (Natural Cure):  Horn Leech, Phantom Force, X-Scissor, Poison Jab
Jellicent (Water Absorb): Water Spout, Ice Beam, Shadow Ball, Dazzling Gleam
Golurk (Iron Fist): Shadow Punch, Thunder Punch, Fire Punch, Fly
Aegislash (Stance Change): Kings Shield, Swords Dance, Iron Head, Shadow Claw

I also thought, "what if I had a team based off of my passion for history and mythology?"  so I guess I'll give a team based off of that (no moves this time) and why each member is there:

Volcarona:  In the Pokedex entries, Volcarona is stated to have once been believed to be the embodiment of the sun, and once even took the place of the sun during a volcanic winter.  That sounds pretty mythical in terms of whether or not it could happen, but hey plenty of ancient civilizations in the real world worshipped the sun and had various animals represent it.

Samurott:  This Pokemon is a lot like a samurai, in terms of appearance.  I get this historic vibe from it, which is why I'm so partial to it

Luxray:  There are two Pokemon based lions, which are very important or at least referred to in many cultures, one of them being Luxray.  Luxray could also be based off a lynx, which had supernatural powers such as seeing through solid objects attributed to it in the olden days.

Shiftry:  Obviously Shiftry is based off of the Japanese Tengu, a long nosed demon that played cruel tricks on people, controlled the winds, and guarded forests.  Some of these traits of Tengu are even referenced in the Pokedex

Froslass:  Again, another Pokemon based off of Japanese mythology (they really need to take inspiration from other mythologies), the Yuki-Onna, or snow woman.

Hydreigon:  There are 3 mythological beast that may have inspired this Pokemon, the Hydra, Yamata no Orochi (explicitly stated to be based off this guy, actually), and Zmey Gorynych, all dragons, all incredibly powerful, and all very bad entities.
